There's always something interesting to see "through the windows" at World's Window. The front window displays showcase their interesting mix of clothing, accessories, gifts and folk art. For the holiday season, one section of windows is filled with their annual nativity show of more than 150 nativities from around the world. Owners Jan and Lonnie Buerge love watching customers pause in front of the window to gaze at all the ways the creche is portrayed throughout the world. Nativities are made of corn husks, discarded oil drum metal, seed pods, wool felt, carved stone, olive wood and orange peel.
World’s Window brings awareness to domestic violence by holding the “Flipping Favorites” clothing drive and shopping event on Thursday, May 8 from 6-8pm to benefit the women and children at Rose Brooks Center. As a part of their 30th anniversary celebrations, World’s Window is partnering with Rose Brooks Center for the ninth year to bring attention to domestic violence and to raise critical funds for the prevention and emergency services organization.
