The Brookside Business Association and Brookside CID regret to announce that we are postponing the 35th Brookside Art Annual. This year’s Art Annual was to have been held May 1st-3rd, but with the current restrictions on public gatherings, we must postpone the event to a future date. We know this announcement will be disappointing to so many, as the annual art show means a lot to our community, our businesses, and the artists who come from across the nation. We will reevaluate our options once gathering and stay-at-home restrictions are lifted, it is deemed safe to be out in large numbers again, and a more appropriate date becomes apparent.
It won’t be quite the same in Brookside without the Art Annual bring us together and signaling that Summer is right around the corner. Until we can be together, we’ll share memories of past shows, and hope you’ll do the same. Just post your memory on Facebook or Instagram and include #BKSArtAnnual, or tag us on Facebook @brooksidekc or Instagram at @brooksidekansascity. We'll share some of our favorites.
We also greatly appreciate your continued support of the businesses in the historic Brookside Shops. Your local store owners, shops, restaurants, and service providers thank you for your online shopping, take orders and love. For 100 years Brookside merchants have been known for their welcoming smiles and outstanding customer service. Although we can’t be together, know that we’re here for you and looking forward to serving you in person again soon.
