On the heels of Black Friday, merchants in Brookside are rolling out their welcome mats to shoppers on November 26th for Small Business Saturday.
Since 2010, the Saturday after Thanksgiving has been dedicated to supporting local businesses that create jobs, boost the economy, and preserve neighborhoods around the country. In response to small business owners’ most pressing need - getting more customers - American Express created the day seven years ago.
Brookside businesses, from retail stores and restaurants to service businesses like dry cleaners and nail salons, will be open and greeting customers. At participating stores, American Express cardholders can take advantage of a special offer. To show their love for small merchants, American Express is giving American Express card members the opportunity to earn 2x rewards when they enroll an eligible American Express card and shop small on Small Business Saturday through December 31.
