It's the wearing of the green in Brookside for the 36th Annual St. Patrick's Day Warm-up Parade, Saturday, March 12th at 2PM, in the Brookside Shopping District.
More than 100 organizations representing groups and families of all ages participate in this fun, family-oriented event. Parade entries march or ride in a variety of vehicles from red wagons to floats to classic cars. Entries include bands, drill teams, Irish dancers, the Jackson County Sheriff Mounted Patrol, and dogs of all shapes and sizes including Basset Hounds, Great Danes and of course, Irish Setters. Don’t miss Royals mascot, Sluggerr as the Grand Marshal.
The annual Brookside parade occurs on the Saturday before St. Patrick's Day and kicks off a spirit-filled week in Kansas City celebrating St. Patrick's Day. The Brookside Business Association and the Kansas City Neighborhood Tourism Fund sponsor the event.

When: Saturday, March 12th, 2016
Where: Brookside Neighborhood, 63rd and Wornall Road
Time: Starts at 2PM and lasts approximately 90 minutes
Route: The parade begins at 65th and Wornall, heads north to 63rd, continues east on 63rd to Main, South to Meyer and heads West to end on Brookside Blvd.
Parking: Limited parking is available in various parking lots in and around central Brookside. Be prepared to park on a side street and walk to the parade route.
