BROW BAR Aesthetics & Skincare is the newest addition to the historic Brookside Shops! Now open at 328 West 63rd Street, BROW BAR is unique beauty spa offering semi-permanent makeup, medical aesthetics, beauty services and an array of skincare and beauty products. Owner Tammy Sciara (top picture, left) has always had a passion for health and beauty. After hearing about microblading she decided to try it for herself.
Tammy says her life was changed. No more tedious routines—she just woke up with perfect brows. “I knew other women would want this. I wanted to offer it in a way that made it luxurious. Our mission is to make every beauty treatment, even a brow wax, feel like a spa experience. We want you to leave feeling relaxed and beautiful!"
Quality Services, with Something for Everyone
Tammy said quality comes first at BROW BAR. “Above everything, we do not short on quality. We are here to give the best experience possible. We want to make your day!”
BROW BAR’s co-owner, Nicole Baldwin (top picture, right), holds a license in semi-permanent makeup, and is a Kansas City Art Institute graduate. “We take education and training seriously’’ says Tammy. Nicole performs microblading for eyebrows (pictured right), lip tinting, and eyeliner, all of which last 2-5 years (respectively). Our cosmetic injector is a CRNA-DNP. “Slightly over qualified” Tammy laughs. “But again, we just really want to give the best to our clients.”
Some of BROW BAR’s other popular treatments include lash lifts, brow laminations, facials and medical grade skin peels. Skin peels can smooth and improve your skin, which has been popular this fall with the introduction of ‘maskne’. It’s great for the winter months when your skin can dry up. BROW BAR will also carry several unique skincare and beauty lines. “Clean beauty is really important to me. All of the products we carry are clean. Many of them are small batch, hard to find brands that I know KC is going to love as much as I do!”
What about men? There welcome too. “Men come to us for brow and facial services,” said Tammy.
Excited to be in Brookside
Moving BROW BAR to the historic Brookside Shops allows Tammy and her team to expand their services, offer an even better experience, and work in a community they love. “Brookside is my home. My family and I shop, eat, and live in Brookside. We actually have reservations every week with my family at Bella Napoli!” said Tammy. “I love the local aspect of Brookside, it’s perfect for us as a local business. We are excited to bring this needed service to the area.”

BROW BAR’s goal is to make you feel as confident as can be. They are focused on making your experience as enjoyable as possible. “We love making our clients look and feel beautiful.” Tammy said. “Seeing other women feel good about themselves makes all of our hard work worth it”.

“The experience at BROW BAR is what differentiates us. I am spending a lot of time designing the space to maximize our client’s comfort. We have a room just for relaxation before and after a procedure” Tammy said. “We are also going have a space that clients can book for a baby shower, spa day, or small group event.”
